School Bus - CROWN
The Crown Coach,
Authentic American school bus from 1969 built by the Crown Coach Corporation in its Los Angeles, California, USA factory.
Founded in 1904, the company supplied buses exclusively to the West Coast of the USA until 1991.
We bought our Crown bus in 2019 directly in the United States in Phoenix, more precisely in Quartzsite, Arizona.
We took Route 10 and crossed the United States - 1,353 miles - passing through Phoenix, Tucson, El Paso, Fort Stockton, Austin and Houston before arriving at the port of Galveston, where it was loaded onto a "ro-ro" ship (car carrier) over 100 metres long, arriving in Europe in Zeebrugge (Belgium) a few months later (because of the Covid).
"Bernie Bus Lines" is written on it, because it was the Bernie company from Los Angeles that provided school transport.
Today, our Crown is registered and insured in France and we use it to travel the beautiful roads of the Creuse...
and we're delighted to invite you to discover it and enjoy a unique experience by spending a holiday in it!
Our goal is to keep the authenticity of the school bus, which is why we've converted it, keeping as much as possible of its appearance, its benches, etc...
In a cosy, retro space of around thirty square metres, you can live your "American Dream", rest in a double bed and use the campsite's shower and toilet facilities (there is no water point in the Crown).

Of course, you can use all the campsite facilities (bar, restaurant, swimming pool, bowling green, etc.).
It is possible to park your car next to the School Bus.
The Crown is open for rental from 4 May to 30 September.
